Taxing pythons

I am ticked off cuz I just had to pay over thirty bucks in **sales tax** on a pair of pythons.

I understand the need for tax. I can see taxing income, especially the income of the very rich, which does not include Lucille. Go ahead and tax sin. Liquor, cigarettes, etc.
Even clothes, cars, and whatnot. It is a burden, but I understand that we need schools and roads and police and so on.

But PYTHONS???? Especially, Lucille's pythons?
Come ON now......

When I'm elected, I'm gonna abolish the python tax......

In Virginia we pay sales tax on groceries. Even in Taxachusetts groceries were exempt.

Pythons are indeed a luxury and at least they didn't charge you luxury tax on them.

Wow! That is unbelievable! what is the tax rate? what percent do they tax you? DO they do this in all of Texas?

Michele: I think the tax rate here for sales tax is about eight point something percent. Taxing pythons is outrageous, though.
