Neonate feeding issues

At what point do you guys begin to worry about a snake who won't eat on their own? How long can a neonate last without eating? Any techniques that have worked in the past? It has refused mice and rat pinkies and mice crawlers. The next step is to try ASF's, but if it doesn't work what then? Thanks for advice and help.

Most will probably say several weeks, which is true. I prefer the 3-4 week period which is roughly when they will hit that second shed. After that I will do a rat pink\fuzzy assist feed and generally they kick in after a couple of those.
How long has it been since they shed?

Depending on the hatch weight (and whether or not the Baby is dropping weight) I`d say 3 or 4 weeks...then You need to intervene. I`ve had great luck with my BP non-feeders. Usually only 1 or 2 Assist feeds and they will start striking on their own.

Like everyone else said It can take up to a month but after that I would suggest assist feeding and after one or two of those leave a live rat pup in their container for about an hour when you come back in to check on it I bet the pup will be gone. I just got 3 of my stubborn feeders going after 2 assists but all is good now.

It took my pastel female over a month to start feeding by her self, the trick was fill the tub with crumpled newspaper leave her alone for a day then give her a mouse hopper and leave it in overnight, she ignored anything smaller than the hopper, something about how the hopper moved was just irresistible. Having a newspaper jungle to hide in definitely helped the more stubborn babies get started. If you assist feed and you haven't done it before try it with pinkie mice or small fuzzies first, they're easier to feed.
