"Special Offers"???

I was placing a classified ad and noticed a category choice I haven't seen before, "Special Offers". However, when looking at a list of classified forums I don't see one called "Special Offers", what am I missing here?
Thanks

Oops. There was supposed to be some text along with that link. I have no idea what happened to it. Anyway, it does seem kinda hidden. I didn't notice it until I was placing a want ad. There's a link to it on the "Home" page for classifieds, but you're right, there isn't one on the Forum home page like there is for the other categories.

^ that's the only place I see it, but I dunno if that helps any.

Perhaps if there aren't any ads in it, it won't show up...I think I have noticed the same thing for other categories.

The "Special Offers" section is simply a trial balloon to see what happens. I didn't see any reason to tie it into the main page of the forums, as I expected only people viewing the classifieds sections would be interested in it. Just extra work to set it up as a forum link, and I guess I was lazy about it.

Or is that a mistake on my part? Do most of you go to the classifieds through the front end of the forums? I tend to always click on the "NEW Classifieds" link at the top of the page to go there, but maybe I'm the odd one out in how I do it.

My link is set to " Reptile & Amphibian - Classifieds and Business Forums" main page. This allows me to go to either a reptile classifieds section or BOI since those are the forums I frequent the most, I have seperate bookmarks for the 2 discussion forums (Leopard Geckos and BP) and use those when I want to see what folks are chatting about.

That's exactly how I do it. I didn't realize the special offers were there until I was directed back to a different page after posting a want ad. I don't know how much work it would be to make a direct link, but I can guarantee you that I wouldn't be able to figure it out!
I think the s.o. idea is a good one. I have some animals that need a good home, and I don't want to just post it in "adoptions". That forum gets trolled way too much (in my opinion, of course).
Yeah.

OK, I set up links to the NOTICES section as well as the Special Offers section. Thanks for pointing this out to me. Sometimes I forget that there is more then one way to skin a cat, and I ignore the fact that other people may use this site differently then I do.

Let me know if this is not what you had in mind.
