Out of curiosity, Charlene, (I assme you picked them up) what did the rest of the animals look like as far as health and husbandry? Was everything being neglected or was it just a few animals?

Wow, I know Eddie personally and I am completely blown away by this situation. Several of us from GA, have discussed this issue, and we hope for the best for both parties. Sometimes people have the best intentions, but those same intentions can become overwhelming and asking get for help is a thorn in their pride... best wishes to everyone.

OP I think it would also help if we knew:
- How many snakes you left with Eddie,
- When the t-stat/heater malfunction actually happened, and when you found out about it,
- How many of your snakes were lost due to the t-stat/heater malfunction, and how many survived but stopped eating due to heat-related injuries, and
- How many snakes you got back, and the condition of all of them now.

Also in the screenshot on the prior page Eddie is claiming your snakes had mites when they arrived. Did you have mites in your collection when the snakes went to Eddie?

Is this all of them? Were there more? If so, where are they and what was their condition when you got them back?

That'll do for now, I think.
As someone else posted, the terms are in that screen shot. The arrangement was just as stated in that screen shot. I was not able to check on my snakes physically as we now live in Texas and Eddie is in Georgia. Both my husband and I inquired on at least a weekly basis about our collection and how things were going. For the most part, Eddie informed us things were well. He expressed some issues in the first month with not being fully prepared but said things were getting better and he was getting into a routine. He never really gave us any reason to doubt the care our animals were receiving but he also was very bad about getting us updated pictures and weights of any of the animals that we inquired about. He kept coming up with excuses as to why he hadn't yet. Whether it had been because he forgot, went out of town, work, or church stuff. As far as we knew, he got the mites under control as there was no more mention of them. He informed us of the overheat the morning after it happen. Both my husband and I woke up to PM from him on facebook. He got the animals the second week in December of 2014. I got them back just last Monday. We dropped off 34.96 in ball pythons and I picked up 20.69. Our entire collection was at Eddie's so we got no other animals back except what was still at his place when I arrived to pick them all up.

We paid Eddie all but three months. First month was December and we arranged that he would take a couple of our extra girls that I was planning on selling as trade for feeder. The second month was March. I don't recall discussing the reason with Eddie or him asking where the 200 was but I was having martial issues at the time and I'm sure it just got forgotten. The last month was June. We had some unexpected truck repairs that our feeder money went to and I explained this to Eddie and he let us know it was okay.

Im attaching two screen shots of conversations between Eddie and I about the trade of animals for feeders and the other with him saying okay about us being short in June.

I didn't go through all his tubs. From what I saw of his animals which were only the ones that were at the front of the tubs, they looked to be in similar condition to mine. He had just cleaned all the tubs before I arrived and everyone was on fresh cypress.

I currently have 6 of these animals in my possession for fear they wouldn't make the 2 day trip from Missouri to El Paso, TX.
The snakes I picked up were starved and badly dehydrated. Many consumed half of their water within 12 hours, and at least a full dish in 24+.

Mites were on a few of the animals, a couple had them pretty bad, which pictures I will post below will show that.

Fortunately 4 of the 6 animals haven had meals for me twice.

This shows how much water some of them have drank within the first 12+ hours. As you can see, mites are in the water too.
