I'm really not surprised. After a huge earthquake like the one in Japan, other parts of the globe are probably experiencing the strain of the Pacific Plate shifting that much in a single day.

You're in Buffalo, did you feel it? I know that New York got hit with a mild 2-something quake a few years back that my parents felt.

I sure hope it doesn't awaken the Yellowstone caldera or that fault in Missouri.

Nope!! Didn't feel a thing! Thanks for asking, though!!

I was out grocery shopping. There may have been a little ripple but maybe I chalked it up to potholes or something.

As I said in the thread in the Preparedness forum...you can't mess with a tectonic plate in the Pacific without other plates getting jarred or shifted.
