Hello,
I am looking to purchase some darkling beetles for a small scale mealworm colony for some of my reptiles. Just let me know if you would like to sell me any..
Thanks

Best bet would be to buy the mealworms themselves. It doesn't take long for them to morph to beetles and begin breeding. Not many people actually sell just the beetles.

I bought my colony of worms in June 2010. I am on the 4th generation I believe, so I would say about 2-3 months from egg to beetle. Starting with 1,000 worms back in June, I easily have 7,000 worms now.

I will sell you a cup of my colony's bedding if you want. It has all the sizes and eggs. Let me know if you are interested!

How many beetles do you need? I have more beetles than I really need right now and can send you some of the freshly molted darklings that haven't been sorted into bins yet. They don't live all that long as beetles so make sure to get them "young" so they'll drop their eggs in your substrate and not mine.

It takes several weeks to get beetles from worms. If you aren't in a huge rush, getting beetles is pretty simple. But I am happy to sell you some freshly molted adults.
