My beardie wont eat!

I have had this lizard for a year now, hes about 2. This has been going on for a while, I can get him to eat crix sometimes, but he turns his nose up on the collard greens/Bearded Dragon monster diet with 2 little strawberry slices and a heap of super worms. He refuses to eat pretty much anything now. I have been trying everything but he doesnt seem to eat. Any ideas how i can get him to eat his veggies and worms?

Well can you describe your set up. Temps, Cage size, all that good stuff. Would help anyone giving advice.

I got a 65 gallon tank, The bedding i got was made for bearded dragons, i forgot the name but its like grinded walnuts or something. The hot end is about 95-105 and the cold end during the day is about 75-80 at night the cool side prob gets down in the 70's. I have a heat lamp on the hot side with a uv bulb, and I also have a uvb light that goes across the tank

Hmmm. Well you might just have to find something he likes to eat then. What was the previous owner feeding him.

well i have had him for a year, i used to be able to get him to eat romaine lettuce but i heard that was bad, and he wouldnt eat alot of it. And he will eat crix sometimes its hit or miss

How do his stools look? Are they runny or firm?
What about supplementation? What type & brand of UVB are you using, & how old is it?
What do you take the temps with a digital probe or a stick on thermometer?
The temps are fine if you are using a digital or a temp gun, no problems.
How long has he been on the walnut substrate? Sometimes, being on loose substrates, can cause parasitic outbreaks because it isn't always kept clean enough. I always recommend solid substrate. Has he ever been treated for worms & parasites?
Romaine is ok, as long as you mix it with collard or mustard greens, & a few other veggies for variety. Squash varieties are good, snow peas, & green beans as well.
If your setup is ok, then I recommend getting a fecal done on him just to rule out worms & parasites. Otherwise, it is most likely the normal slow down phase that they go through every year called brumation.
As long as he is not exhibiting any other symptoms that would cause worry, & his fecal is clear, there is no reason why he can't go through a brumation phase for his age of 2.

What day light cycles are you doing also. I am no specialist of beardies. If its about a snake I can usually answer it no problem. I have a few beardies i breed. Someone else could put credibillity toward the light cycle thing. Something like 8 hours of light will take em out of brumation and 10 hours of light puts em in. I forget exact numbers someone else here will know more.

You got that backwards! LOL
If you shorten their light cycles, it will slow them down, & if you increase their light cycles it should bring them out.
However, if they are going to brumate & they are healthy, even leaving the light on wont bring them out! Most of the time, you cannot beat nature.
