Thumbs down Jared Solomon caught scamming on Facebook auction page!

BEWARE of Jared Solomon, caught red handed trying to scam on Facebook Reptile Auctions page. He purchased a desert banana combo female from BSR back in October and tried to auction it off as a *possible worlds first* Pastel Banana Leopard poss het pied. Not only did he attempt to sell an animal for 4+ times what he paid knowing the animal was not worth that but he lied about the obviously known genetics, lied about producing the animal himself, claimed the animal to be a possible words first, made up stories about losing photos to back up proof the pairing, and then what really had everyone angry was he was willing to sacrifice the animal's well being knowing she could not/would not reproduce being a desert female--sometime down the road the buyer would incur thousands in vet bills and/or the loss of the female due to becoming eggbound, not realizing they were indeed sold a desert.

Three sellers previously, THREE (the breeder, Tom Stokes, Amir, and BSR) all were responsible in selling this animal as a pet only. And Mr. Jared Solomon decided to try to make a buck by lying about her genetics and trying to scam someone into believing she could not only breed, but she was packed with different genes. It is disgraceful.

Please share, who knows how many other animals he has already sold and lied about, selling them as hets or possible hets. And he may have other desert or desert combos in his possession he is trying to sell as other reproducible morphs as well. All screen shots are below. Including clutches photos provided by Tom Stokes, the breeder. And comparison photos of the original photo of the snake auction by BSR and the photo of the animal being sold by Jared Solomon (comparision photos provided buy Justin Weinrich).

Here is the screenshot of the original auction where Jared Solomon won the snake on Ben's auction back in October. CLEARLY it is the same animal that he is trying to sell...........there is no discrepancy. Also a clutch picture, fresh hatch, provided by Tom Stokes.

Female deserts have a fertility/oviduct issue, they either lay slugs or become eggbound (or both). To date, no female deserts have ever successfully reproduced.

Desert females are pets only. They cannot breed.

There are 3 scenarios that happen if bred.
1. They turn out to be infertile
2. They lay duds
3. They become eggbound and need vet help to remove the eggs before they rot inside and the female dies.

The desert gene messes up the reproductive system on female deserts and any female desert cross.

Get Sum
Thank You Laura for taking the time to put this together on Fauna Classifieds. Before anyone ask about "giving Jared a chance to defend himself" This is a Cut and Dry case. Jared has already admitted to his wrong doing. Allow me to simplify the situation-

1. Jared Solomon purchased a female Desert Banana Ball Python (Pet-Only) from BSR's back in October 2014 for $320.

2. Jared Solomon posted an Auction on Facebook listing the same exact animal (Desert Banana) but advertised her as a completely different mutation. He advertised her as a "Possible World's First- Pastel Leopard Banana poss. Het Pied" which would have been worth significantly more in value and started the Auction at a $800.00 starting bid, with $25.00 increments.

3. Jared Solomon stated several times that HE produced the animal at HIS facility. When questioned to share clutch photos, he claimed his phone fell in the Ocean with all of his stored pictures!

Conclusion- Jared never produced the animal, He purchased it on Auction at BSR's for $320 knowing it was an (Unfertile Desert Banana) "the add description from when he purchased it clearly stated that". Tom Stokes produced the animal and sold the clutch to Amir - "there were three of them". Jared Solomon purposely attempted to sell the animal as something completely different then what he knew it was for the sole purpose of making money.

I could have excepted and forgiven the mistake he made if he were to have come clean in the beginning. It was the Blatant lies and the lies to cover up previous lies that I am unable to forgive. The fact that he could do this so easily would make me very concerned for anyone dealing with him in the future.
