the hide will be easy and I might try(if it's okay)frozen thawed krill and if I have it silver sides.And then worms then crickets.

krill will be fine.Live food will really trigger his instincts and get him going in no time.He's moving around so it sounds like it will work out fine for him.

Could the chlorine from the pool be something that is hurting it??? Im just wondering

Being a hatchling,if it was chlorine,it would probally be dead already.But it's always a possibility.
I've heard of people letting their perfectly healthy Iguanas swim in the pool and then wonder why
their pet died...not very bright.
