Cage too small for 3 leos? & Heating vision cage help.

Hey I am getting a pair of leo females in a week or so. I got a vision 221 cage that is 29"x24"x12" to house them in. I already have another leo female thats in a 20L terrarium. If all 3 would get allong with eachother would that vision cage be too small to house all 3?

Also if anyone can tell me if flexwatt would bend 45 degrees or so without causeing a hazard, those vision cages have those chanels on the bottoms for stacking them and I want to heat a 10"x22" area but thatt chanel runs right through it, if bending it would cause a problem I would have to make it a 7.75"x22" area as the hot zone. Would that be too small?

I'm not sure about the flex watt- I dont use the stuff.
I will say that if the vision cage is 12 high, then I'd say that's probably big enough for 3 females if they get along. I'm not sure which dimension is which on your cage?

Thats a Mansion(plenty big) for 3 Leopard geckos, good luck with them.

What about 4? I dont want to cram them in there but I want to maximize space also. If its going to be tight Id rather just get another cage.

I agree that the tank size should be sufficient for 3. Just remember to quarantine first and be prepared to separate the group if they don't get along

Sorry for the double post - forgot to address this question. I have never used flexwatt, but I use heat cable on my racks and it should work well for you if you want to go that route.

A 20 gallon long tank, which is 30" x 12" x 12" can comfortable house 2 adult leos. Three is okay but there should never be 4. When adding to that, the general rule is 10 more gallons per leo. So a 60 gallon tank can tehcnically comfortably hold 5-6 leos.

The height of the tank doesn't matter since leos are terrestrial. It's all about the floor space

As for the other question: Flexwatt shouldn't ever be folded and does not bend around corners. The only way to make it do a 45 degree corner would be to cut it straight across, cut out the entire middle of the tape leaving the bus bars, cut the outside bus bar longer than the inside and solder them back together, or take two pieces and join them with some wire.
