Yep, that's what it is.

My boss has a dead one on his desk that he found in his driveway...looks a bit different than the pic, but I'm sure we have different versions here in Missouri than what Rich has crawling around down in Florida.

Neat little boogers.

Yup it.s a rhino , a male at that. The females look just like the males only without the horns.
I find a lot of those in the summer in Ft. Pierce.
Put two male together with a female nearby and watch the combat.

Excuse me? I thought we didn't get Rhino Beetles here in the U.S.?

I have receantly become VERY interested in keeping beetels, and naturaly the Rhino Beetle was one of my favorites, and the first I would lie to get....
MORE INFO PLEASE!!!!!!!

Acutally, one of the larger species of rhino beetles is a US native. Dynastes granti Here's a photo link. http://www.goldenphoenixexotica.com/dgranti2.JPG

Golden Phoenix Exotica http://www.goldenphoenixexotica.com is the only invert dealer I know of that sells the beetles. He doesn't have any available right now though.

That's a great looking rhino btw, I didn't think we had ones that are brightly colored in the US.

I have lived in Florida most of my life and I have seen those rino beetles a few times. (more than 3 less than6 ) The ones I have seen have all been in central florida and they where black.
