Question Milksanke activity

I purchased a tri colored honduran milksnake about a month ago and I never see it. She is always hiding under a rock or something. even when she eats, she drags her food over to her hiding spot and eats it there. Is that normal? Will it eventually start moving more? What can I do to encourage her to roam the tank?

thanks

The best thing you can do is be patient. She'll get used to things eventually, most likely, and start moving around quite a bit. Depending on where you got her from she may be thinking it's winter and not really a good time to be moving around. That should change in the next couple of weeks if that is the problem.

Is the rest of her tank, the part she is NOT hiding in, either too hot or too cold? You may want to check that as well just to make sure there are no problems of which you are currently unaware.

Post a pic if you can.
