Why would merged twins create an animal of a different color?

I'm not saying I support the theory, but if Jake's awesome hatchling is a chimera, and the girl is a het-russo, it would be a combination of two snakes. A mojo or normal, mixed with a mojo x russo BEL, so you'd get a mix of white snake and patterned snake.

I agree with Jake that this is probably not the case since there aren't any more BELs in the clutch.

I have a feeling there is more going on with the female. She may be some type of fire or some other type (mystic, phantom, mocha, etc.) and when bred with a mojo, she can produce a super form.
Can you post a pic of the mother?

Here's mom.

So are there no known accounts of a single heterozygous animal producing a paradox of the homozygous form?

Grats Jake on that awesome clutch!

There are so many hidden genes in those normals, this does not surprise me at all.

Wes Harris hatched out one from a pastave x pastave clutch. It's on the VPI website as the party ball.
