question about a rubbed nose

Hey everyone, I have a quick question.
I just noticed that one of my leopard geckos, the high yellow girl has a tiny red spot on her nose that looks like she has been rubbing it in her tank. What can I do to prevent future nose rubbing? I give my geckos a lot of attention-and she has a good size tank, and she is not in with any of my other geckos yet. she has a rock hide cave in her tank, and a rock water bowl. Is it possible she is rubbing her nose on one of those? Any animal I have ever heard of doing this rubbed on the cage. It is probably a dumb question, but like I said I am still fairly new to keeping reptiles. lol

Hi! Leos rub their faces all over everything in their cage when they start a shed. Sometimes if the shed is hard to get off, they can rub their noses sore. I'd say this is probably what happened. The sore spot should get better on its own in a day or two, so watch and be sure that it does. Also to make the shed come off easier from now on, give your leo a humid hide. If you're not sure what this is, just say so, and many of us will for sure give you the info.

how often do geckos shed?
she did shed about a week or so ago. I am assuming a humid hide is a hiding spot that has a higher humidity than the tank? how would you create one in the tank?

Young one's shed often , then adult seem to only do it around once a month.
It can vary if they gain or loose weight.

Humid hides are easy, cool whip containers work great so do some of the larger glad ones. just cut a hole in it and line it with paper towels or something like bedabeast and mist it with a sprayer every few days.

ummm...another dumb question....

is it normal for a spot to be gone after one day? I don't know how but this morning I looked at her, and the spot is healed over. I can't even see where it was now!!!
