That is a cruel and inhuman to remove a snakes venom glands so you can have a "HOT"snake that's safe. If you can't handle venomous don't keep them. Snakes venom is also a predigestent, so taking a snakes venom glands out would be similar to removing humans saliva glands.

I don't have enough information to agree or disagree with you on this but I've seen a number of snakes have this procedure 15 years ago that are still doing great with no side affects what so ever. I've heard people make the argument about the pre digestive properties of venom but have never read a scientific paper showing any kind of proof that not having venom has any kind of affect on there ability to digest and metabolise food. As to weather it's ethical or not I have no idea. People have there animals fixed, ears clipped, tails clipped,etc... I think neutering an animal seems a lot more cruel but thats just my opinion but it doesn't matter because this is a classified add not a place for an ethical discussion
