As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

I just popped in and saw this was back up to the top...and I have to say, I get a big grin on my face every time I think about this incident.
Here's the non-Reader's Digest version.
Steve was busted for all intents and purposes...and David wasn't the only person he tried to rip off. The only reason Steve made right on the deal is because he was going to get sued in a civil court, as well as face criminal charges for fraud/theft.
If that's not enough, check this out. After Steve made all those personal insults about David (living in a "red state", "you're probably religious too" and outright accusing him of being a crook), the dumbass actually had the nerve to contact David and ask him to come here and say that it was a big misunderstanding. Ha!
Stay away from this idiot like the plague...and if you see Steve at a show, ask him if he has any empty boxes he's looking to trade.

This guy seems convinced the box was crushed & the snake got out. Well if the snake was in a sealed bag or deli cup it could still not escape even if the box was crushed. In my 40 years of keeping snakes i have never had a box arrived damaged. this is a lame excuse, unless the snake was loose in the box & what shipper would do that? Sounds like a total scam & this guy is a thief & a douche bag.

Sorry, I know this is an old thread, but the guy really makes me ill. Using snakes as a guise to lure children into his house to molest them is beyond despicable.

Searching I didn't see anything that's not over a year old. The original arrest was in 2013. Has Weissman gone to trial?
