How to remove bleach odor from grapewood
Hey everyone. A piece of grapewood I have started growing mold, so I cleaned it with a 10% bleach solution. I then rinsed it and baked it in the oven at 220 for 3 hours. I noticed the bleach smell was still pretty strong. For the past 2 weeks I've been soaking it in water with aquarium dechlorinator for 24 hour periods, and rinsing it thoroughly. One time even soaking it for 72 hours straight. The smell of bleach is still present in the inner part of the log. I'm afraid to put it back in the cage with it still smelling like that. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get rid of the smell? Is the smell itself harmful to a reptile? Thanks in advance for any help!
