Hey Bobby, that first head shot in the second set of photos is one nice looking animal for sure, actually there are many but that one stuck out to me.

You are more than welcome, I just wanted everyone to see how different wild tegus are. It shows that our captives in the U.S. are very limited, there are so many more out there in the wild that we do not have in the pet trade.

Hello,

GREAT pics!!! I have never owned a Tegu & have contemplated it. They take large enclosures & we have not had the space. We do plan on moving to a larger place in a year to start a dragon ranch & rescue. Who knows, maybe I will venture into getting one sometime.
There was one in the petstore that the owner had handraised that was beautiful. It was a black & white, & had smooth skin so that is an argentinian or a columbian? I cannot remember. I almost got it, but just didn't feel it would be fair without adequate room for him.

The Argentines have the beaded scales and the Colombians have the smooth scales.
