Exclamation ATTENTION PLEASE!

That is it, i have had it! Dubia Roaches are becoming more popular but people who keep them are becoming criticized for it by family and friends, i no this because it has happened to me and i have only had mine for a week. This is why I propose to change the name to something more appealing. People automatically assume the worst and think of horrible disease ridden disgusting house infesting bugs that will eat you out of house and home. The name i propose is "Armour Crickets" because of there shell like appearance during there nymph stage. So hear me all Blaptica dubia, or the Guyana Orange Spotted Roach (common name). Should and will be known by me and all that no of my feeder colony as, ARMOUR CRICKETS.

thank you for your time.

Well, thank you!
And call me crazy, but I would've thought the name Annabella was a dead give-away!

Wallace, sorry we de-railed your thread, but we're still with ya!

Question

Here in the US, is it okay if we call them 'armor crickets' instead of 'armour crickets'? I guess it's laziness, but we leave the 'u' out of many words (colour, flavour, etc.)

I also propose:
Armo(u)r Cricket Lovers Union (ACLU)

Rob, it's HIS deal, let him call the shots on this one...can't you see how much it means to him? I say we make the exception & keep the U's in!

I just find it comedy that they're called "Dubias"

(I'm republican, just the 1850's republican)
