beardies are great with children. we have 8, 6 who live with us. our oldest is 15 and youngest 3 months. they all but the baby handle them and hand feed them and have never been bitten by any of them. they bath them and sit with them on their laps feding them wax worms and locusts. the only thing to be aware of is hygiene, we are very hot on this beacuse of the baby and make sure they all wash their hands after handling them. we even have a frilled dragon who is not as tame yet and has had a bite at the kids but it doesnt hurt them and has not made them frightened of him,

That's awesome.
Teaching kids the right way earlier on is the way to go.
Aside from you letting them have some beardie priviledges, without them noticing, maybe without even you noticing, they are getting a whole lot more responsible from it.
Sounds like a fun place to be with all those pets.
How many beardies do you have?

we have three bearded dragons, 1 male and 2 females and we have at the moment 30 babies the last few hatched yesterday. we have had our beardies a year and must be doing ok with them as they have laid 13 clutches of eggs between them and so far we have successfully hatched 75 out of 80 babies in a home made incubator. we have made it educational to the children and we have cut eggs so that they have seen how the babies grow we had to do to this to make sure that we were doing things right, we have have cut eggs and the babies have survived. we had several eggs that didnt hatch so we cut them and the baby was alive but had no eyes and no chance of survival. we have had one without a tail who we will probably keep as the kids have fallen in love with him and we have decided to keep another one that has some lovely colors in him and he stood out from the rest. he is 3 weeks old and has already shed. it takes up a lot of our time but we do this as a family and a year has passed and the kids are still as interested in them as they were on the day that we got them.
