SCAM -john mike <johnmikedealer@yahoo.fr>CHECK ATTACHED

Lucky for us we didn't fall for this scam. here is the info. All emails came from - john mike <johnmikedealer@yahoo.fr>. Per usual it was an ad on KS replied to. Same story different country. Much better written emails than the usual Nigerian scams.Guy in London wants the animal. Is sending a certified check so it can be cashed immediately. The difference in price is to be western unioned at once to the importer who is supposed to pick up the animal and export it to him. That name and info is :

I have replied to his (John Mike) emails numerous times telling him I knew it was a scam and to bugger off. It seems he does not read them. He continued to email me as if I never send those. Then someone mailed the check.
I have the check scanned but do not know how to post it. It is drawn on Citibank, is on that cheap check printing paper you buy at Staples. It was printed crooked. And missing the back watermark. The company at the top it was from is a college loan company in New York called "College Board". Stamp signed "Dorothy Sexton". I called their # and got a recording. I never left a message.Citibank's fraud department verified it was a fraud.
It was mail stamped from London East, but somehow it made it here overnight with only a .50 cent stamp affixed and no return address. Jeane works at USPS and says that some of the makings on it are from the US. So that in itself making it a multi country scam.Somehow they have cancelling stamps they shouldn't. Adding another federal offense.
Emails are on the next post if you are interested. Beware of a better written (spelling) email from these creeps. And blue Citibank checks from College Board. It is a scam!!!!

I called his company (shippers world clearing and
forwarding ) and i was told that he just got into united kingdom yesterday to
handle some export duties on behalf of a firm based there. Here is the
shippers information which will be used to get the funds sent to him via
western union money transfer as soon as you receive the payment.

After you have sent the money for shippment through western union,i
will require the following details from you :
1. Sender's name and address (your full name and address used in wiring
the funds)
2. Reciever's name {BADMUS JOHNSON}
3. MTCN (money transfer control number).
4. Amount sent..........
5. A scanned copy of the western union receipt..............

Note: that you are to cash the check immediately you take to your bank
and no form of delay from your bank while cashing the check for you,
tender the check and withdraw the funds instantly without any delay
cos the shipper is already waiting for funds in the united kingdom.
All charges to get the check cashed and all western union charges
should be deducted from the amount that you will be sending to Mr
BADMUS JOHNSON. I await your soonest response this is because my shipper has to be in your location as soon as Possible.Remember that he also has my
goods to pick up together from your location. he will be at your location
in the next 48 hours upon the receipt of the funds via western union by
tomorrow. I also want you to deduct 50$ for your runing arround to get the transaction completed as soon as you receive the payment.

How many times must I tell you I believe this to be a scam? It has been 3 weeks I have been telling you the same thing. I am not going to removed any ad, or prepare anything for pickup until payent is recived and cleared via paypal only.

Sorry for not contacting you all this while.I just called my client now that issued you to check to know the status of the delivery which you suppose to have received and he has informed me that youwill be receiving payment by the before the end of this week because the company that is sending this funds to you have to go through the neccessary office protocols and documentation before they can dispatch payment to you, i will send the details as soon as the payment is sent.You are to get the item ready for pickup by thisweek so that the shipper will come for the pickup without any delay as soon he receives his funds from you.Please you have to remove the advert from the internet as it is now confirmed that the item has been brought by my client,i will forward the details of the shipper who you will be sending the overage to as soon i receive it from my client.

I am very glad you did not fall for this scam.I think the reason he is still contacting you is,i think they are unable to read and understand English .If i was you i would block his email addy if you can.

En Garde! Fence! heh sorry, just sounds silly, like you have to battle the soon to arrive check! good for catching this one, he's a little less obviously a scammer than most, at least when he first contacted you.
I just wish more people were more discerning and were more suspicious of strange emails...
