Twice in the last week I have read post from people who, for lack of a better phrase do not play well with others, in which they said they requested the webslave either ban them or cancel their account.

Since this is a 100% voluntary forum, and all they have to do is stay away it makes absolutly no sense to make this request. Of course, we all know that these individuals do not have the ability to stay away. They are addicted and without someone else to blame they can't help themselves (or is it because they are to childish and immature to stay away)

It brings up the question Why do they make these requests? Clearly it is so they have reason to denounce this site when their names come up again in the negative light that it inevitably appears. They feel that since they are denied the opportunity to participate they can safely speak ill of this forum and people will understand.

I know it would never work but sometimes I wonder if it would be nice to have a feature that would allow individuals to block certain members (kind of like a usenet newsgroup does) it makes for choppy reading of threads sometimes, but 99 times out of 100 the threads that these people respond to are not worth reading anyway. Mostly because of their particpation.

Banning people is something that needs to happen, with a forum such as this , people can post what they want, when they want and so on.
Banning people that ask should not be done unless they break a rule of the board, you can tell an alcoholic not to drink but will he??
Give them enough rope and they will go away in disgust or get banned for breaking a rule or something.

John,

you are right, There are instances when people need to be banned. I just find it odd that perople request to be banned from something they can just stay away from in the first place. Unless they think that by their being banned no one else can think bad about them any more.

By the way, I used the DE on my albino burm and it did work. I guess I just did not leave her in there long enough before.

I'll tell ya why they ask to be banned.......

here it......

comes.....

STUPIDITY !!!
When most people are put under stress, stupidity happens. The brain, in the event that one is applied, reacts quickly with no logic or thought. Well then the body follows [receiving commands from the brain no less] and stupidity happens

Told ya man the DE works well and is non-toxic
anyhow I am glad it worked for you, no snake deserves mites
