Yeah, the cuteness is a problem - and they're just at that velvety stage too...

Luckily, these are growing up for future breeders. I'm only culling down bucks, and any runty ones right now so I can get a good amount of breeders.

Sure can relate to the cuteness being a problem.
Even with adults it always bothers me. Time has not had much effect on getting used to it.
Wish you lived closer because I have way too many mice at the moment. Could speed things along for you.

Oh yeah, it's definitely not going to get easier. The things we do for the animals we love, though.

Wish you were closer as well! There are not many breeders around me at all. One I've spoken to hasn't responded back to my messages in a few days now :/

Start breeding naked mole rats instead - pretty sure you won't get too attached to them!

Haha!! That would definitely help! Though, they are certainly interesting critters. I need to find same hairless mice. Lol!

I got myself super hooked. Mice now represent the majority of my collection. Still not producing much yet, as most are too young to breed, but ill have 34 does and 6 bucks once they are all grown, not counting the 3 day old litter on the ground now. Some new ones I picked up today:
