egg in cage!!!!

hello
when i wake up today i found a egg in the cage of my box turtle.
i dont know if she copulate with a male.
what should i do!!!

Remove it immediately before she eats it.
Box turtles like many reptiles are notorious for eating their own eggs.

It may not be fertile but you never know. So stick it in a plastic container with a few inches of moist soil and try to keep it warm

There are advanced incubation techniques of course but this is a simple method that (probably) won't require you to buy anything.

Keep the soild moist (almost wet) but not soaked. You may need to spray the soil with a water bottle every day or every few days.

Cover the container almost completly. Allow a small air gap.

Try to maintain a termperature near 26 - 29 C.

when i waked up and I looked the egg it had like a hole but the hole is in the hard part of the egg it have like a soft menbrane( dont know how to type that) it still good or it will not burn like that?
i have it ina plastic bowl with 2 little holes and i sprayed the soil too.

I have never heard of a box turtle eating its own eggs. They usely build a nest and cover them up. if you found it just sitting in the cage it could mean one of two things, first it had no place to lay it or 2 its not fertile. but incubate it at about 82-85 and it should hatch in about 60-80 days.

Happens all the time if they find them or if they don't nest properly.
