Hi all,
There is more cold weather on the broadcast for first week of March. Several people sell reptiles for a living thus the title of this post "the business must go on". If you are in the
absolute need to ship animals next week check the "shipping forum" Rich has set-up. There are excellent tips by several experienced individuals on how to ship during extreme cold weather. One such example can be found at:

Remember to check the weather in your area, the destination area as well as any "stops" the carrier/airline uses while in transit. (you can use
www.weather.com/weather/local/and then the zip code).
Customers usually understand and will respect your decision if you tell them you will delay shipment until the following week for safety reasons.
Yes, a DOA can be replaced. But remember that you as a seller are the only one that can stop it from happening. You as a seller will not be happy beacuse you have to replace the animal, the buyer will not be happy when he opens the box and finds a dead herp, and last but not least the reptile will have suffered an otherwise avoidable death.
Let's prevent rather than cure! Best regards and happy herping.
