Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

I called 10 Tv News, The Columbus Zoo, ch 4 news, and a contact number from Ohio.gov's Executive branch contact info...no one knew what animals were on it and none had a copy of this Exec Order. Kind of ridiculous that this order gets put in place without the public having access to it and without being able to find any concrete info on it. :/
I guess all of us in Ohio just need to sit and wait to see what happens.

"Today, I am able to sign an executive order that will have teeth," Kasich said Friday afternoon.
This guy is a world class douch. He let former Gov Stricklands ban expire because he said it was too restrictive, lol.

It is my personal belief that governors are worried about finances and public relations with their majority group voters and worried about the press.
It is my personal belief that reptile owners are worried about freedom and ownership.
Do you see any of the same words on one side? No. That's because the two parties are interested in entirely different things.
I believe that organizations supporting reptile owners send voluminous letters to governors and their ilk using reptile owner words that the governors do not care about or understand.
There are uses for lobbyists and politicians. They take the wants and needs of those they represent, and translate them into words that governors understand and can deal with.
I believe that as long as reptile owners appeal to those who are empowered using words and concepts that are irrelevant to those in power, the bans will go forward.
Even corporations hire lobbyists to translate their needs into something that lawmakers can understand, and deal with, and on.
Use what works.

it's very sad this is happening (well... what sparked it was even more sad but regardless) as it could become an avalanche giving strength to other exotic bans.

Knee-jerk reactions are bad whenever animals are involved. I just hope that HSUS, PETA, and the knee-jerkers don't make ridiculous laws because of this.
