Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

You know webslave. I thought of that very same senario, but I think the tin foil skull cap I wear around all the time is supposed to stop government probing.

they already have such a device I've seen show's on tv where a wild animal was captured the devise was implanted and the researchers would use a telavision antena looking thing to track the animals movements but as the devise was'nt that small and a surgical procedure was needed to implant the thing I always wondered how natural the animals movements would be after such a trauma and what the long term health effects would be but even if someone could make the devise small enough I think the effective range and life of the battery would not make it feasable but thats just my opinion and I'm no rocket scientist

I do remember seeing such a show....a documentary. They had catpured and implanted these big cylindrical things into a cobra mimick in Africa. They then had to be within like 5 miles of the animal to get a track on it. They would use the TV antenna looking thing to find it's precise location. They actually showed the process for implanting the tracking device. This thing was huge....about the size of a toilet paper roll. They said it had little to now effect on the snake (yeah right, try being the snake) I'm sure they COULD make smaller ones now, but instead of MAKING a million dollars, you may need to CHARGE a million dollars for the technology. It's a good Idea, but probably just as good an idea as snake leashes........hey, maybe it's just because it's 5 AM...but that's not bad...I'm a genious.....no offense Neil, now go smoke a cigarette and clean up some poop....I'm kidding, I'm a kidder, I kid............buh bye now....delerium has set in

Hey maybe we can develop a microchip type like Neil said but instead of the beeping thing we can use Global Positioning Satelite to track it that way the snake can be anywhere in the world and we can get a fix position on it. it would come in very handy....$$$$$$$$$. I hear money

before I begin I want Beth to know that this is in no way intended to be a personal attack but ...... If Canada was so wonderful how come everyone from there comes to FLORIDA ? Is it possible Canada really sucks and you are the prime minister of tourism or something along those lines ? Just asking .... No offense. But I know how much I have invested in my animals and I cant begin to imagine if it was possible without endangering the health of the animal to track them all it would quadruple the cost of each herp. That alone would keep me from doing it. If you only have one or two animals then that would be different I guess.
