Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

Caution with Bayareareptiles.com
Attention all reptile lovers. I purchased a white throat monitor from Bay Area Reptiles when they were down here in Miami for the annual Reptile Show. Well the monitor we purchased from him was the nicest in the tank of 3. We brought him home and only to found out we purchased a sick lizard. We were in contact with Ray for about a month about the monitors condition. He did try and help us over the phone but continued to deny that the lizard wasnt sick. He advised us to deworm him and after doing so saw no results in his weight or attitude. He was very lethargic and would not eat any of the food that Ray said he was eating. Which was Wiskas Cat food and Hoppers. Offering both every day he refused, the only thing he would eat were crickets, and yet he would not gain any weight. Ray stated that they only had a 5 day garuntee on the animal and would not offer us another lizard, only a discount on the next one. Well my fear of getting another sick lizard I refused to purchase anything else from him. Per one of my conversations with Ray he stated " Well it sounds like youre doing everything right and he's in the proper living conditions, sometimes people just get a bad lizard"
Just want all to please be aware to not have to go through the same thing I did. The monitor passed on thursday May 28 th 2009. May the little guy rest in peace.

Full name IS required, but I doubt they will delete it because of that.

hi
I purchased a captive bred blue tree monitor baby from ray and my experience was quite different. he was on the phone with me alot answering many of my questions. he was in contact with me after the purchase to be sure everything was ok. The lizard is doing great and we are very happy with the service as well as the quality of animal. I have even been in touch with ray about buying additional reptiles from him. I am sorry your transaction was not as pleasant as mine and very sorry to hear that your lizard did not survive. I just wanted to say that my experience was quite the opposite of yours

Thanks
lanceheads & slipmattic thanks i put a signature wasnt able to change the name.
Ageber: i also purchased a reg iguana from Ray which seems to be doing fine. But i'm guessing that dueto the Reptile Show the monitor was already stressed out and he was already fairly skinny which should have been my first warning not to purchase him. But because he was the nicest one in the tank i chose him. Ray just didnt want to help me any further when i felt he knew he had sold a sick lizard. Which is why he made the statement that some people just get a bad lizard. With a comment like that its like admitting that he was sick and yet because we had passed 5 days he could do nothing about it. I took him to a reptile specialist and he said there was no way the lizard could get into that condition over night.

Its no big deal. You really dont think about putting it on their unless your on the BOI responding or posting alot. I didn't think they would delete the post, but rather give you a "bad mark", so to speak.

What was your husbandry like, that could have had a lot to do with it.
