From baby to adult, ghost motley and a normal

Thought I'd share the progression photos of Quartz, my ghost motley male. Well, not mine for much longer, I sold him and he'll be going to his new home in a few weeks. I'm gonna miss him, he's an awesome little snake.

Baby photo when I brought him home from the Sacramento reptile show:

Acting all big and tough like a cobra

later on, still acting like a tough guy

Getting bigger and finally calming down

And a photo from last night. He's gotten so pale and faded. He's almost purple!

And since we're at it, here's Garnet. She'll be 10 years old this year. She's a normal het snow motley but I never bred her and probably never will. When I first got her as a tiny thing:

And here she is all grown up:

thanks for looking.

Very cool! I just love seeing progression photos, it really is the neatest thing seeing how they change!

It's too bad Quartz is leaving, because he looks like an entertainer. He was so cute acting all tough, such a terrifying lil' guy isn't he? I always love the way ghosts fade as they get older too. I don't have any corns, but I've some ghost gophers and it's always surprising seeing how "dark" the hatchlings look compared to the adults. I can see that ghost corns have a lot more color on them though, I think it's pretty nice~

Garnet's bright too, I can definitely see why you chose that name!

Awesome snakes, thanks for sharing~
