Post Outbreak puts spotlight on exotic pets

The first-ever outbreak of monkeypox in the Western Hemisphere has focused the spotlight on the nation's growing trade in exotic wild animals and again sparked debate over greater regulation of the importation of animals that can carry deadly diseases, including rabies, salmonella and hepatitis.
