Are there any dwarfs that have better attitudes than the Tarahumara????. I'm looking at getting a second small boa, one w/o the attitude.

Most of the CA and insular boas are more defensive. Your best bet might be a Colombian male. If not overfed, they usually max out around 5 1/2 and under 5 lbs, which should be small enough for any adult person.

A Dumeril's male will also remain smaller if not overfed.


Quite a few of the CA locales will calm with time.

Dums have a reputation for being very chill. I'm putting 1.1 six month old littermates into QT next week that I picked up locally. They are incredibly laid back given their age and size, even more so than my ball pythons at that age.

Dumerils is a nice snake ... my male is 6 feet and about 11-12 pounds .. very easy to handle as is the female who is same length but 13-14 pounds.
