I love my corn, but I did vote black snake. Handsome with such 'tudes! I'm the most partial to the Asian species, but of the North American natural coloration variety? ... yeah, I'd have to say black.

I'm another one that put other. My favorite is the Great Plains Rat. I also like Cornsnakes, Bairds, and Everglade Rats. Actually, it's hard to pick as I have not kept a North American Rat that I didn't like (even Texas Rats!!!!). It's a great group of snakes!

I caught a black rat here in Nebraska and now they are my favorite N. American rat snakes although Spilotes are my favorite rat snakes overall. Heres a couple pics of the Black rat I caught and it shows why I fell in love with it. Of course I let him go after these pics

I like the Gray rats AKA White oaks. The gray color when it is real light is awesome.

I'll have to go with Eastern Foxsnake

I like all the new world ratsnakes (even including that name as broadly as some would go) but if I had to pick a favorite I'll go with the gloydi.

Well, I kinda wished that I had thought this one out before I voted. I chose Subocs, but as stated by some others, Corns are my big thing. Then I remembered Flavirufa. But those are my top 3

John, that's a great looking snake. I like the fox snakes a lot too. I've been fortunate to see a few in the field.

My favorite ratsnake, at this time, is the Emory's ratsnake. The majority of my collection are localities of Emory's, with a few corns, Eurasian rats, etc. I'm doing field work with them and like them as pets also. All ratsnakes are great, but you can only keep so many...LOL!

Thanks Terry...

He's a handsome fellow (prettier than his girlfriends). Hey, I'm finally getting some cold weather. But it may be too late to effectively cool my brumating gloydi and vulpina. Did your area get blasted with snow recently? We've been spring-like for a month.

Regards
John
