Common Snappers

Hey guys.

I am looking for someone to adopt my 9+ inch common snapper. I have had "Snappy" (aka Lucifer) for about 7 years and have grown quite attached to him.

Unfortunately, I have him in a 55 gallon tank ALONE and he is quickly outgrowing this tank too.

I have considered releasing him into a pond on my property but wonder how he would do in "the wild" considering I have had him in my home since he was the size of a dime.

I was wondering if any of you guys would be interested in taking him and giving him a GREAT LONG TERM home. You would need a 70 gallon tank minimum or pond set up. He has a temper so, he would need to be housed alone or with other larger turtles.

He is extremely healthy and eats everything in site!

If you would like to offer me some $$$ for him, that would be nice, BUT, my first priority is his well being and finding him a AWESOME home that can accomodate him as he continues to grow.

PS - I also have two smaller snappers (one about 6" and the other about 2"). The 6" is MUCH lighter in color.......almost a light tan carapace, skin, plastron (could be Hypo). I would like to know if anyone is interested in adopting them too.

I found a wonderful man who adopted my snappers. They have a awesome new home in a big fenced pond in IN.
