Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

To catch up and answer a few questions..
There were no distinguishable markings, to my recollection, on any of the boxes stating what was contained, etc. I will have to look at the small male's box as well to verify.
I will ensure that the appropriate agencies are informed of the additional civil actions I take as I know he is housing animals and just recently purchased additional tortoises.
In addition, I will get the timeline and texts up this weekend. Sorry for the delay.

you should NEVER EVER under any circumstance call peta for any reason. they will turn this around and say the animal died because YOU ordered it and then use it to bad our pets. peta is a joke and a political group who does not care about your pets. they only care about not keeping animals as pets.

Peta wants to stop ANYONE from having a pet. They've been known to go to shelters and pick up adoptable dogs and cats. then shelter workers find the animals dead and in a dumpster.

The 'right thing' would be to go to jail. Galen, have you thought about taking this story to the local news? They, of course, would give him a chance to tell his side, which I assume he would decline to do. But at the very least it would shut him down, and make the community aware. St. Louis news jumps all over animal cruelty cases.

Considering he is blaming her for the pictures we see, would be interesting to see the girlfriend/wife's response to that.

You are both very misinformed. The PETA headquarters is a few minutes away from my house and they run the SNIP program which offers a very low cost spay/neuter with meds for everyones PETS. They work very hard and late hours to make sure they help as many people's pets as possible. They also do various other treatments and shots for peoples pets and work hard to rehome home PETS from high kill shelters. That is a horrible generalization because everyone I have met that worked with PETA has several pets at home. I'm not for everything they do, but they do A LOT of good.
Sorry this is off topic a little, but you are letting a few bad seeds alter your perception of the group. There are extremists, yes, but not every muslim carries bombs either.

I'm about to chew a hole in my tongue from having to bite it, but I'm not going to perpetuate it here.
Any discussion about Peta will most definitely get heated quickly, so before this thread gets dragged off topic I'll go ahead and say that line of discussion needs to be taken elsewhere on the site and not continued here on the BOI.

I believe that once that the appropriate state and local animal/agricultural authorities are made aware via legal team, I think it would be best left in the agencies hands to publicize appropriately, etc.

In regards to not labeling a package with any live animal in it, is this not against the Lacey Act?
True, even being a certified FedEx shipper (which is not the case here), FedEx does not require the certified shipper to place labels on the box. They leave that to the shipper's discretion. However, I had heard recently that not placing labels to identify that there is an animal in the box is against the Lacey Act.
Can anyone clarify on this?
Kindest regards,
Amanda
