Sounds like this is probably the best offer you're going to get from this guy. Would you be willing to take a refund (I assume the seller is offering $22 as the 'value' of the snake that he left out of the shipment)? Then you can rehome/sell the reverse okees (hopefully the hatchling will shed and be okay first of course) and find youself the stripe you wanted from some other party?
just a thought...

We'd discussed briefly the option of a refund, but he was only willing to give me $55 back IF I shipped the okeetees back to him, of which he wasn't willing to pay for. I'd declined, seeing as the refund would just go straight back into shipping the animals anyway, and I'd still be out a snake

Of course, now, after all this, AND finding out the guy's a kid, it really just adds to the shadiness of the whole mess
I don't doubt that he believes he's at any fault either, which is a sad fact. The kid needs to get a parent or guardian to oversee his transactions. I can't fault the kid for wanting to make a buck, in fact I wish I got into the hobby earlier.

He's screwed up and hopefully he'll get his act together and start offering quality animals and quality service. Only time will tell. And it really sucks that he has to learn this by giving his first customers a bad experience.

Think he's this guy?

http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/foru...ad.php?t=60939

Or related? That's not a very common last name and that person had problems on here too.

Whoa, there's a blast from the past. No, I don't think it's the same guy but I knew the name sounded familiar. Could be related.

hey guys, i just wanted to make it clear to everyone about that other guy, hes not related to me. i also thought my last name wasn't a common name, but ever since facebook came around i found out that there are a lot of other quagliatas out there.

yes i do understand i messed up. i would like to fix this but, i honestly don't think its fair that i have to give back more then 1/3 of the money he gave me for the snakes. i hope someone out there understands where im coming from with that point. i am wiling to give back the value of what he paid for the snake, not the value of what its worth.

Why not just send him the snake he wants AND paid for??

because id rather pay the cost of the missing snake and let him keep the other 2 snakes for free, as a gift saying sorry for all of this.

The problem though, Chris, the buyer has two snakes that they didn't even want. If you didn't know what the morphs were, you should have cleared that up before shipping.

You're better at math than most people that get into these situations, but the facts stand. Not sure if it's an option with Lucas, but maybe you pay to ship them back and refund the money. Though after you resell them, you're still only up about $30 after all said and done.

So really, I can't say what the best solution is. Sounds like you could ship the stripe to Lucas and Lucas can send you the two snakes he didn't want. When you sell the two snakes you get back, you're not out anything and you're standing in the same place. You'll just have one less snake.

You need to understand that Lucas paid for something that he didn't want. It's your responsibility to either replace what was incorrect in the order or refund the money. That's business.

Quagliata at this point it isn't about what "you think is fair"....its about what you did to your customer...do you honestly think what you did to the OP was fair?? you sent the wrong snakes...sent an extra snake that the OP didn't even want without telling him first...and sent a snake in bad shape....and then you have the audacity to tell you buyer that he "should be thanking you"

Are you kidding me...that attitude isn't going to get you anywhere in this hobby....I would say your best bet is to refund the amount of the snakes you buyer didn't want...and if you want them back....fork out the money for shipping. He should not have to pay to ship back snakes he didn't want...that was your mistake, not his.
