Big SIM molds are open and we have an ETA of May 1st. We know its a bit later than we wanted but we are bringing in a wonderful, quality product.

Do you have an idea on pricing on the larger ones. I'm interested in trying beaded lizaed eggs in these. Any idea on how many beaded lizard eggs one of your large models would hold. Is there detailed info available on water substrate mix or is it just as you would normally?

Hi Timothy,

Substrate mix- 1.1 perlite to water by weight works well, as does a few other methods mentioned above. The grid size is larger than a sterilite shoebox, 8" x 12" plus the grid to lid height is taller to handle clumped or larger reptile eggs... Ball pythons, sulcatas, lg monitor eggs.

How many leo eggs with one hold and how many can fit in the Reptipro 5000 incubator? I am looking to get this to compare to the flimsy made G.E.O.'s and probably replace them.
Thanks!

Hi Candace,

Up to 50 eggs can fit within a SIM container. 2 SIM can fit inside a Reptipro 5000.

If you order I will throw in a few more rails to create more egg rows.

Coming in Summertime, we have the SIM Wall- a cool divider that pegs into the grid, from ceiling to floor in order to separate your clutches from one another.

SIM XL due to arrive in May sometime... I will air these in.. for the python peeps.

Cheers

John

We've used a similar product in the past for our tree monitors and I can say it makes a huge difference. The most common problem with tree monitor eggs is the hatchling drowning during the final phase of incubation. If you want success with tree monitors then this is definately a product worth purchasing.
