New! Looking for Hognose

Hi! I am new here and looking to purchase a Hognose snake for my 13-year-old son. He is thinking he may want to go into Herpetology when he grows up. He has had a Leopard Gecko and a salamander but is wanting to get a snake. After doing much research he decided on a Hognose. His hope is to eventually get a breeding pair but he wants to start out with one so he can learn more about them and feel confident with it before getting into breeding. Let me know who sells Hognoses and how I can get in touch with them. Thanks!

Glad I am not the only one, who, as a teen wanted a snake.

That is very very cool.

I am guessing, he took care of them for the most part. Which, I did at his age too. It might be worth mentioning, he, might not "grow out" of this "phase". I most defiantly did not. I grew "into it" .

I can't say I blame him, that is a fantastic species. For both new keepers and the most advanced hobbyists.

Sounds like a very reasonable plan, in my humble opinion.

I would recommend a simple Google search and looking at this portion of Fauna: http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/foru...play.php?f=502
Hope that was somewhat helpful. Looking forward to hearing about your son and his new specimen soon.
