Talking solomon island

i just picked up a solomon island
despite hearing about there eating problems
i will get some pics up soon
i lucked out though, i got one of the ones with a splash of color
he has the appearance of wet new england sand
and an orange head
i am surprized that there isnt more of a calling for these guys
they are beautiful
any comments i would love to talk about it

Im curious

How is the temperment? Ive seen them and they were beautiful in a nice smaller package.
I wish you the best of luck with its eating situation.
I hope to see pictures soon.

I have a breeding trio, two of which were purchased from Jerry Conway and the third from another breeder. Once I converted them from frogs to pinkies, they have been fantastic. They can be a little nippy at times, but the three I have are much better eaters than they are supposewd to be.

The only real draw back to these snakes are that they are probably the messiest snakes I have. The water bowl is not a sacred place and be prepared to clean and disinfect multiple times a week. Other than that they are beautuful.

i keep reading that about them ,that they are messy
his temperment is great just a little head shy but
i was assured that he was on large mice ,im quite sure he wont starve
im not sure i would want to breed yet because of my other programs with suri's and bci hypos

I had a small baby one for a while.. He was eating f/t fuzzies.. Had a good temperment for the most part, but one day he just snapped and tagged me 3 or 4 times in a matter of a few seconds.. I put him away, and he never did it again.. I am thinking about getting another one some day..
