interesting........

He emailed my husband with the same offer, I guess not realizing that he had already spoken with me. The phone he gave is listed under the same last name, but a woman, probably his mom. He's supposed to be shipping my husband the scrub python. We'll see.

Here's his info:

Hi all,

Ronald is back by popular demand. I always give people the benefit of the doubt. Maybe they are just bored and want to play "snake monopoly" on the web. But when they offer a trade and ask you to ship them snakes first, IMHO they have crossed the line. I played his game along just to see how far he was willing to go (and he did go all the way). He offered to trade one of my ball pythons for a pair of boelen and a pair of angolans! In bold are my replies to his e-mails.

What are you looking for? I'm very interested in some of the animals
you posted. Let me know. I'm particularly interested in the Boelen and Angolan pairs. How do
you propose we do the trade? Do you want me to ship my snakes
first? That shouldn't be a problem. What would be the terms of the
trade? Just let me know where and to whose attention I need to ship
the animals..

Ronald,

Great! One thing I want to make sure though first, is that you are not a minor.
If you are you probably know you are not allowed to do transactions without the
consent of your parents. What would be a good time to call you?

The address and the phone # is the one that was already given in here. In my opinion Shirley is probably his mother and doesn't have a clue what little Ronny is trying to pull.

For those with the "bad spelling theory", he does not fall into that cathegory, or at least he knows how to use the spell check.

Careful!

Neil,

Touche...The irony is that I have done that joke myself before with the word "grammer".

Regards.

kandikrak,
Be a shame to see your posts all get deleted because of a lack of a name. I don't normally jump all over people for it but you've got quite a few posts on this message board system and you really should know by now...

I'm not sure if it's too late or not to save all those threads on the first page but perhaps this one can be salvaged...

It helps to take a minute or three and set up a signature, then you can simply forget about it.

Kandikrak (we still don't know your name),

You are absolutely right. We sometimes pay too much attention to the form and little to the content. On the other hand, there is nothing wrong with trying to improve our writing skills. Right?

Back to the issue at hand traders beware!, there is a potential scam in the making! Ronald even suggested me to call him on the phone to finalize the details of the "trade".

Best regards.

I have been in contact with this guy for about 2 weeks now. He sends the EXACT same email and list. I live right by Philly and I told him I would be willing to meet him halfway somewhere.

What gets me is he never responds directly to what I am saying. It looks like he has a pretyped message he is sending to everyone. He sent the same email to my brother as well. When I ask him to send pictures, he responds instead with his list again.

Here are some of our emails:

Wow, those are great prices! Did you get me a picture of the Indian? How big is he? How much are you asking? Cash not trade. Can you email pictures of the other guys? Or do you have a site where I can just look at them?

the indian is 300
and give me a few min. to get the pic
for shipping all you have to pay is 20 dollars

He never acknowledged that I wanted to meet up with him or sent me any pictures. I think he's just a kid that really really wants a reptile, but his mother won't allow it. He's living out a fansasy world here and driving everyone in the real world nuts while he is at it.
