I acquired this snake from someone with the intention of donating to one of our local environmental centers as a display animal. I was initially told it was a Texas ratsnake, but after getting it, it is my opinion (and others) that it is probably an intergrade with a grey ratsnake and/or something else.
According to the previous owner, it was purchased by their son 7 yrs ago from a pet shop in Houston, TX. I do not know whether it is wildcaught or captive bred.
It is a male, over 5 ft long and eats f/t mice and rats. He is a little jumpy and highstrung, as most ratsnake are, but is not aggressive and has yet to actually strike at me.
The nature center I was planning to give him to doesn't want him because A.) he's an intergrade, and B.) they already have enough ratsnakes already.
So I need the space and I just want him to go to a good home. I'm not asking for any adoption fee, just that you pay shipping costs.
Contact me via email, PM, or call/text 251-604-5225 if interested. I may be attending the Repticon Pensacola in August as well as the NRBE in Daytona.
