Pacific gophersnakes, Pituophis catenifer catenifer, It has been a year since I acquired them, so I thought I would post them
On September 17, 2006, A friend & I went road crusing. That night we found 9 live gophersnakes along with several DORs on the road that night. I rarly ever keep anything that I pull off the road, (I do have a few W/C rattlesnakes though) That night 2 of the gophersnakes caught my eye. I have kept them over the past year.
The first one we thought was a glossy snake, Arizona elegans occidentalis, @ first. But later that night we found a glossy & realized I was wrong
We jokingly called the snake a "glopher" after that
. Maybe it is hypo Anyhow, I think it is a cool snake

One year later
notice the belly doesn't have the typical speckling of the gophersnakes
The 2nd gophersnake has the typical coloring, but a cool diamond pattern behind its head Anyhow, they both have good tempermints & are doing well.

Thanks for looking
Jerry
