Hi Kyle-

I would suggest calling your local court house and talking to the zoning department, they are the ones who would know what is legal and what is not.

The Reptile House
Connecticut laws

A permit is required for the posseession of amphibans and reptiles, this restriction apparently applies to all incomming specimans of native species legally obtained from outside of your state as well as exotic species.

The lise does list all reptiles and monitors so basically you have to have a permit and as long as you do then you can own.

I got this info from a book we use when people are interested in purchasing from outside our state to see if they need permits or if these reptiles can be shipped into there state.

It says contact the Dept of environmental protection for an application. the book in question is:

A Field Guide to Reptiles and the Law
By: John P. Levell
publishers# 612-470-5013 in MN

Hope this helps some.

Exclamation Connecticut Legalities

Please go to http://dep.state.ct.us/, The State of Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection's website.

Or directly to the Wildlife Division's page, http://dep.state.ct.us/burnatr/wildlife/wdhome.htm

You can browse theough the lists of threatened, endangered and special concern species.

Several numbers are listed to address your concerns, or call 860-424-3000 or 4100 to be directed to a wildlife specialist
