leucistic...

Someone educate me

Leucistic Texas rats, I had thought that they were pure white with blue eyes. I just bought a 1.1 pair. White with blue eyes. But I see other "leucistic" Texas rats advertized with red eyes. Is it just known as BEW or REW? Are babies born with red eyes?

The leucistic rats with the red eyes have albino in them that is how they get the red eyes. A true leucistic will have the blue or black eyes.

I have named the female Britney (after a similarly beautiful yet talentless person) and the male Justin (same reasons). The female is living up to her name, as she still refuses certain meals hee hee.

I think I got the best Mike
