White Diamond Boa?

Ive seen the white diamond snake from Mr stone. Does any one know how it was made or the cost for offspring.

It is part of the "Princess Diamond Project" and it wasn't made in a captive morph sense..

It was found and then bought, and it is claimed to be a BCI but is likely a BCA.

There are no visual offspring as of yet, but there are supposed hets. that sold for an absurd amount of money in six pairs.

... even without the genetics being proven.

36K for a pair ... if I am not mistaken.

Regardless, it's a foolish gamble. People with the hets. are going to breed the males first just to make random possible hets. Then a few years later, the females may produce with one of those possible hets. or its own sibling. Dumb either way.

Even if it does prove, there is no evidence the animals are BCI. The claim for the "het" patterns is that they are visual markers for the gene.

I doubt this.

They look like BCA type animals.

The sire is quite possibly a male that was found some years ago in Brazil. There is a YouTube video of it. There are characteristics the two boas seem to share, however ... trade from Brazil is not legal so ... you know.

Either way, a white boa is a white boa. People seem to think they will "morph" it out, but anything it is bred to will just be white boas. If the sire himself hardly has any visable pattern whatsoever (I've never seen them put a black light or whatever to him), then the theory that offspring will retain some extreme patterns and not be overtaken by the white is pretty ridiculous.

But, what do I know ... I'm just a hater. :-)

normal hets this season sold for 35,000 a pair and motley and hypo het pairs sold for 60,000 a pair.

5 pairs have been let go.. eye color will likely be the first thing i work on with this project.. here is 2011 pair of het diamonds after a fresh shed.
