Dude I know what a rainbow looks like and I also know that, that snake has the sheen of a CRB and the markings of a Central...Every post you are on you try and belittle someone or make yourslef out to be this great snake god or something..I mean whats the point...Does it make you feel like a big man to be rude to someone over the internet, Would you do that to a person face to face? No I doubt that very very seriously. Because you cant talk to people like that and get away with everytime, eventually someone would stomp you in the ground...That snake is not pure no, but I stand behind my post ....

Hang on... So you think it's some kind of colombian rainbow- Boa constrictor imperator hybrid?

Wow... Just... Wow.

That kind of irridesence isn't unusual for a Boa constrictor, it's nice when it's there but put virtually any Boa constrictor into the right kind of light and you get that same oil film rainbow looking sheen of color. The animal isn't a rainbow boa, isn't even close to a rainbow boa, has no rainbow boas in it's family tree and really... If you know that little about it, why would you even comment to begin with? You didn't help the original poster and just left people who actually knew what they were talking about having to post a response to make sure that nobody believed your mistake was accurate. Then you have the sheer stupidity to get angry at me because YOU don't know what a rainbow boa looks like?!

I'm not sure if I should laugh at you, pity you or just do a search to make sure you didn't try to "help" anyone else.

Please don't fight. I put this post up because i wanted other people in put. the boa has charateristics of different boas that I have seen on other web sites and I was getting confused. I admit I don't know much about the different types. I just Know how to care for them and when to take them to the vet. I just wanted some education on the types not a fight. Matt you are very helpful. and Seamus you are very so to say by the book on information those are both of you strong points. so please don't fight I value all comments and will not take any of them the wrong way. All the brainstorming will solve the question.

Except that it doesn't look anything like a rainbow boa and is very clearly a Boa constrictor. Which specific subspecies is a bit up in the air, but it is not a Rainbow Boa. Seriously. Not even close.

Dude, if you think that is anything BUT a Boa Constrictor, then you're a complete retard. Its NOT a Rainbow Boa of any type, nor is it a "hybrid" of any type. Even if it was a Boa Constrictor cross, it would not be a hybrid. Just because it has a slight irridescence to it does not mean it is a Rainbow Boa, lol.....there are tons of snakes that have irridescence, that does not make them Rainbow Boas lol. Jeez, what a moron.

that's what colombian rainbow boas end up looking like.
