Thanks, I'll give him a try.

I usually get mine from the same guy, but he's out of the game now. I was thinking abut contacting people who keep falcons/hawks, as they sometimes use them as feeders too, but with limited success. If I got my rodents from micedirect or rodent pro, I would do it through them, but since I only want chicks, and I get a much better price on the rodents, the shipping cost makes it undesirable.

I found a place that sells 400 chicks for $ 99.00, and then $ 20.00 flat rate shiping, but what do you do with 400 chicks!

Maybe some of the keepers with large numbers of animals, but I only have a few that eat chicks. Oh well.

I'll let you know what happens.

Contact LLL Reptile or even Prehistoric Pets and get a shipping quote. Usually they aren't bad.

I don't recall where I bought the clickers. I bought them some 10 years ago. They pretty much sound the same anyway. You could even use the tap method, which is basically tap something hard lightly on something else hard and feed. You can even ring a little bell or something along those lines. Same functions as a clicker just without the potential expenses.

Go get those White throats Ruan.

I've had my male Similis over a year and he's just as shy as the day I got him. He still only loves the mice. lol He's a pretty boy though.

Who's the tristis breeder??? I probably know him.

Hey there,
i got my V. tristis trio from Doug Price. They are pretty neat and from what i've heard, very hardy too.

Doug is a great guy. Good breed. Another person to seek out on here would be Krusty. He knows a lot about the Aussie species. I believe he's still breeding tristis also

U can always get those clickers at petco or petsmart. I used them for clicker training dogs. The system interestingly is derived from dolphin training. They usually cost $1.
