Stephen R Brown CITY OF ROSES HERPETOCULTURE

Hello everyone my name is stacey Leshaw just giving everyone a heads up . Last year October I contacted Steve R Brown (CITY OF ROSES HERPETOCULTURE)and put down a 500 dollar deposit via paypal on a albino western hognose. When it came time to ship in december, we decided it would be best to wait until after the holidays. Well now i can't get the guy to call me back or email me. I have left messages with his wife and still nothing.Paypal says they cannot do anything after 30 days. I have bought snakes in the past from him with no problems, but now after numerous emails and phone calls I have decided to post the situation,so at least no one else gets taken or maybe he will resolve this situation. 500 dollars is not worth ruining your reputation .Has any one else had any problems with him .

YES I HAVE HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE ALSO

YES I have also had a bad experience with Steve Brown of Oregon.

I don't usually post negative posts but since you metioned it I thought I should. This guy took me for a high dollar animal.

I purchased an adult albino "Limburg" strain rosy boa from him last Oct. When I received the snake it was half dead. I have kept over 300 breeder rosys before and I maintain a large collection of colubrids. So I KNOW when I see a bad snake, especially a rosy.

I called him and told him I did not think this snake will make it . It did eat a small fuzzy but regurged it right after. He assured me it was just the trip and that I should put him down for the winter to brumate. I thought about it a few days and then wriote him an email saying I wanted a refund and the snake I traded him (I ALSO traded and nice adult rosy along with the cash I sent) and I never heard back from him again. The snake regurged a couple more times and I then put him down for brumation even though I knew he would not make it.

I then decided to do some research on Steven Brown and called Randy Limburg (the originator of the ablino "limburg" rosys. I knew that Steve got them form him as he had a large collection and thse are very new to the herp market. Randy Limburg told me he was ripped off by this guy to. When Randy gave him his rosy colony several years ago they were worth even more money. Part of the deal was Steve Brown gave Randy a car. Randy later found out it was stolen. Randy also told me Steve was a recovering heroin addict and probably needed some money.

About two months ago the male adult Albino Limburg rosy died in hibernation.

I have called his phone but the girl answering says there is no Steve Brown living there. I aslo tried tracking him down with some other phone #'s I found. None worked. I still write him emails and they do not come back so I know he is getting them.

I feel this guy is to entrenched in theis hobby to dissapear forever. He will surface again and we should swap info so that if one of us finds him we can let the other know.

Email me for my phone # Bluerosy@comcast.net and lets find this guy.

Phone #+ address=Reward

Anyone have any contact info for Stephen Brown? Phone #??

He should be surfacing soon to peddle his '04 albino Limburg rosy boas. Or he may try and sell his entire collection.

Any contact info will be kept confidential and I will put up a reward of a pair of some '04 babies I will be hatching out.
