(Probiotic ingredients; Guaranteed total live (viable) Lactic Acid Producing Bacteria: 20 million Colony Forming Units (CFU) per gram. (Bifidobacterium bifidum, Lactobacillus fermentum, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus casei, Enterococcus faecium, Lactobacillus plantartum and Pediococcus acidilactici).
This special blend of ingredients has been formulated to help improve the gut flora of all reptiles, avian, and amphibian digestive tracts while providing the vitamins and minerals not found in captive diets and the addition of enzymes (necessary to metabolize the nutrients) destroyed by processed foods and that can stimulate the appetite in anorexic creatures .
Doctors, vets and nutritionalists have long recognized the benefit of keeping the digestive tract in a healthy condition. Stress, antibiotics, and sickness all cause the PH levels to lower in the digestive track. This allows the “opportunist” bacteria to flourish. Some of these become deadly. By replenishing the proactive bacteria, these overrun the destructive bacteria and reset the normal percentage of gut flora.
Adding enzymes, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and natural appetite stimulants allows for the keeper to use one product to reestablish normal conditions in the digestive track and the complete vitamin formula negates the need for any other supplements. As our rehabilitation experience has shown over and over again, preventive medicine is the best medicine.
This blend is water soluble. Sprinkle over wet food every other day for animals that have shown undigested food due to being dosed antibiotics or over stressed because be being wild caught, cage changes, ownership differences or anything that would be different to the animals habitat conditions. Dose ¼ teaspoons per 1-5 pounds and adjust according to weight, every other day for sickness or after ABX administration.
Use 1 to 2 times a month for added protection and upkeep to the digestive track and to fill the gaps.

Because this has human grade vitamins, only a 2 week every other day use is the maximum dose. After that, 1 to 2 times a month.
Use this in place of any other supplements and or vitamins. Cold blooded animals have very slow metabolisms. (Metabolism (from Greek: μεταβολή metabolē, “change”) is the set of life-sustaining chemical transformations within the cells of living organisms. These enzyme-catalyzed reactions allow organisms to grow and reproduce, maintain their structures, and respond to their environments. The word metabolism can also refer to all chemical reactions that occur in living organisms, including digestion and the transport of substances into and between different cells, in which case the set of reactions within the cells is called intermediary metabolism or intermediate metabolism.) And are very often over dosed with vitamins and calcium. The most experienced keepers never recommend using more than 2 times a month when given a high variety, healthy diet.
There has been more controversy written about the use of Pro-Biotics on the internet then UVB. We have had personal experience with hundreds of animals and heard from our thousands of friends nothing but positive results and never, not once, bad results. ProBiotics is not a magical bullet supplement as there may be a lot of other metabolic conditions going on in sick animals. Always consult your vet!!! But the use of this supplement will never harm your animals when used as directed.
*The following is a commentary by BobMac (Robert K. MacCargar), and is a personal observation and not scientific study.*
Snake owners with regurge and anorexia!!! The following is not per reviewed study information!! But! Experiences from many owners over the years that have contacted me as a last resort have followed these instructions. Kathy Love, the woman the “wrote the book on Corn Snakes” literally, once had comments about probiotics and said that she had a 50-60% success rate with the addition of probiotics and promised no miracles. With well over 50 clients with snakes that had these conditions, I always suggested the use of UVB lighting, our Mega-Ray for 2 hours a day along with the use of probiotics. I requested that all of these clients return their results as I was giving the Mega-Ray bulb as a donation to find if my feelings as suggested by Dr. Michael Holick in personal communication (he suggested that at least 90+% of all living creatures, including single celled organisms, developed D3 from UVB exposure), returned a 7-8 to 1 improvement with the combined use of UVB and probiotics.
There has been almost no work on snakes and UVB, but I have seen Diamond Back Rattlers basking in 110 degrees+ in the foot hills of Ca in open sun at noon. It was 100+ degrees in the shade under the brush. No one is going to tell me that they were looking for the extra heat to digest their food.
While so many species of snakes seem to do well without any UVB, my clients all told me that their snakes that were sick and responded to this regiment, would coil up under the Mega-Ray for the 2 hours it was on instead of the basking bulb. When the UVB went out, the creatures went back to the hides.
When the unbiased studies are financed, the results will be clear, as they always have been. You can’t beat natural environments, whether evolution minded, or designed minded. The closer your micro habitats imitate natural habitats, the better your responsibility to these creatures, that we are responsible for, will respond.
