Quick update on the Boob egg Hatchling aka...."Pencil"

Well i field dressed a mouse fuzzy lastnight, quartered it and assist feed it. I am happy to report that it took the leg quarter with very little force. After about a couple minutes of being in its mouth it went down smooth

I'll wait about a week to make sure it processes out good. Before i try another mouse pink.

Thanks Everyone for all your advice and i'll keep ya updated on the progress

Sweet! I'll also warn you that after the first few successful assist feedings mine put up quite a bit more fight about subsequent ones, since they were growing and getting stronger.

just a tip:
I found it is easier to hold on to a squirmy little snake for assist feeding when my hands are damp.

Poor little pencil didnt make it i think he was having issues digesting the food. I noticed there was no stool so i started to try and help it remove the waste. It helped some but not enough. Came home to find him dead in the tub.

Sorry to hear it, but as was said earlier they don't all make it, and you obviously gave it a good shot. Hope the healthy siblings did well.

Ya it was a sad day, he would of made a good story to tell. The other siblings are doing very well.
