Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

Grasshopper identification please???
Hello,
Here is a grasshopper photographied last August 5th at East Angus (Quebec Canada, near Vermont/Maine).
Is it possible to identify the species without knowing the color of the wings???
What a camouflage, isn't it?

I'll second that...I have a question....When this 'hopper' jumps and flies off are the inner wings black and white and is the flight very irregular like that of a butterfly ?
